It is easy to thank the Lord and praise Him, when things work smoothly for us in life; but a true mark of our love for God is to praise Him when going through difficulties. For every child of God,so long as you work in obedience, everything will always work for your good (Romans 8:28).

While some of your desires and expectations for this fleeing year are yet to be actualized; the Word  of God has a simple answer " Yet I will rejoice in the Lord". The true test of our faith is not in praising the Lord when the situation is positive, but it rests on the fact that "Although the Fig tree shall not blossom.......Yet I will praise Him (Psalm 34:1).

Just before His glorious levitation into heaven, the Lord Jesus lectured His disciples on the person of the Holy Spirit. He told them that the Holy Spirit would be in them: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). And from the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon them, to live in them; He came upon them for the purpose of living in them.

In the Old Testament, Solomon built God a temple, and at the dedication of the temple, the presence of God came upon it (2 Chronicles 5:13-14). God had to come upon and into that temple to make it His own. But He wasn’t satisfied. Acts 7:48 says, “Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands….” He had said in Proverbs 8:31, “…and my delights were with the sons of men.” This is the essence of Christianity: Christ in you. It’s what Jesus brought, and made possible.

When you were born again, God made you His own; you became His offspring and His living temple. From that moment, you were sanctified unto Him and became one with Him. He sanctified your vessel, your body, to become His house. You’re God’s dwelling place; He actually does live in you. And because He lives in you, He speaks through you and walks in you (2 Corinthians 6:16). He manifests Himself in and through you.

The great God of glory, the Monarch of the universe, lives in you! He created you in His image and in His likeness to make it possible for you to be filled with His Spirit. What a blessing! What a privilege! Always honour the Spirit; appreciate and celebrate His presence in your life. Fellowship with Him often, and your life will be an endless stream of blessings and the supernatural.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1. According to Romans 8:1, we find two descriptions of the same person — the person that is in Christ Jesus. Those that are in Christ Jesus are described first by their position and then by their practice. They have no condemnation against them, Paul says, and they walk after the Spirit instead of the flesh.

No condemnation! Because God is completely holy, even our greatest deeds and thoughts are sin-soaked, filthy rags in His perfect sight. We stand guilty before a virtuous and fair judge; justice will be served (He will not compromise His own righteousness in order to have mercy on us) and so we must be condemned. But those who are in Christ have their punishment transferred to Jesus, so that they are without condemnation. Those who believe on Jesus Christ have the assurance that He has taken their place—acted as their substitute—and so, in spite of their great shortcomings, they are without condemnation. Christ’s perfect sacrifice on their behalf has wiped their criminal record clean.
How do these pardoned sinners then live? They follow the promptings and leadership of the Spirit of God. As Paul explains a few verses later, “as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (14). They no longer follow the dictates of their corrupted nature or of the sinful world; they march to the beat of a spiritual Drummer, following the footsteps of their perfect Saviour. What a joy, what a privilege it is to be in Christ! Our desire, like Paul’s, should therefore be to “be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith” (Philippians 3:9).

“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” ‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭3:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬ .

David went through series of challenges from his youth till old age, and here is an outstanding confession of his heart:  “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.” (Psalms‬ ‭42:5‬). Don't be discouraged, God will not cast off for ever. The bible says severally and “it shall come to pass”. Let your hope be in the Lord and He will yet show up for you in this  year.

What To Do Doing Hard Times
Here comes the “R”s habits to do doing the hard times. Practice this “R”s.
