In life some people are born into greatness, some others carve their way to greatness. You can make it in life only if you will work your way towards whatever that you seek for in this life.
In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah In the letter he wrote, “Put Uriah in the front lines where the fighting is the fiercest. Then pull back and leave him exposed so that he’s sure to be killed” - 2 Samuel 11:14-15 "Then pull back and leave him exposed"
Uriah did not die because he could not handle the intensity of the battle, but Uriah died because of the negligence of those who were supposed to support him in the battle zone. His fellow soldiers sold him out. Those who were supposed to cover him, "exposed" him for the enemy to devour him. The paradox here is: The true enemies of Uriah were not those he was fighting in the front, but those he was expecting to protect him in the back

We must understand that Uriah was: a skillful,  well trained, and disciplined soldier. He was one of the best in David's army but still he could not fight the battle alone, he needed a faithful team to back him up. It's not that he was weak or inexperienced, the real issue here is not weakness, the real issue here is "negligence"

Strong soldiers have died in the field because of negligence. Strong soldiers have been fatally wounded in the field because of indifference. When we shift back in a time of trouble and need, innocent and faithful people die either: physically, emotionally or spiritually because of us.

When we pull back and expose our brethren, we become co-workers with the enemy and God is watching us God will hold us accountable for neglecting our brothers and sisters in times of need. Sometimes people leave the are destroyed because we pulled back in their times of need and thus they got exposed to the enemy.

Let's be careful not to neglect one another especially in times of need. Be a true brother's and a true sister's keeper. "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" Galatians 6:2.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13).

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth. Truth means reality; so, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of reality. Having Him in your life is such a profound advantage, because Jesus said He’d guide you into all reality; it’s His job. He’ll guide you into the reality of your situation, the reality of your family, the reality of your job, your finances, your future, your relationship with God; the reality of your transcendent life in Christ.

Enquire of Him, and He’ll show you the future: the future of your success and greatness from glory to glory. Much more than that, He’ll guide and lead you in that future. With Him, you can never miss your way or walk in darkness. You can trust Him with your health. Sometimes, Christians journey from doctor to doctor, trying to find out about their health; many are enslaved by fear and their symptomatic diagnosis. Trust the Holy Spirit. He already knows everything about your body; His presence in you keeps you in perfect health, ensuring no anomalies or defects thrive in any of your organs or systems.

Now, the Holy Spirit guiding you doesn’t mean there’ll be no challenges; but those challenges are definitely for your promotion. 2 Corinthians 4:17 says, For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” Someone may say, “The Holy Spirit told me to get this job, but ever since I started the job, it’s been one challenge or the other.” Relax!

The same Holy Spirit will show you the way of victory; He’ll give you visions for guidance. Remember the words of the Spirit through the Apostle Paul: “God is faithful, who will…with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it”(1 Corinthians 10:13). 1 John 4:4: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper….” Hallelujah!

Psalms 16:6‭-‬7 CEV
6: You make my life pleasant, and my future is bright. 7:  I praise you, Lord , for being my guide. Even in the darkest night, your teachings fill my mind.

Ephesians 1:17‭-‬18 17: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

I Corinthians 2:12 12: Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
1Corin. 11:1 : Pattern yourselves after me [follow my example], as I imitate and follow Christ (the Messiah).

Abram was His former name, God through the patriarchs established the nation Israel. Perhaps the most well-known of the biblical patriarchs is Abraham, because from him all Israelites are descended. Genesis 12:1 "Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee" KJV. Abraham obeyed God even when he did not know where he was going.  God promised to make his descendants a great nation in the land of Canaan. Following God’s instruction, Abram took his extended family to Canaan, and they lived there as nomads. As Christians we need to obey the voice of God even when we do not understand what He means, in doing so God will bless us. Now God speaks to us through dreams, visions, Scriptures, prophets etc we should be sensitive to the voice of God so as to do His bidding.

Despite God’s promise, Abram’s wife, Sarai, remained barren. In desperation, she gave Abram her handmaiden, Hagar, as a concubine. God has so many promises for us through His word but when delays do set in, we then try to help God by using our human mentality as Sarai advised the husband. Delays are not denials, we must therefore not be in haste in waiting on God's promises.

Hagar gave birth to Ishmael, who is thought to be the forefather of Arabs. Despite Sarah’s doubts, she soon gave birth to Isaac (Genesis 21:2 ). In her jealousy for her son’s inheritance, Sarah forced Hagar and Ishmael to the wilderness. Abraham had to force Ishmael out of his house against His wishes. In our walk with God, if we contract anything illegal (Ishmael ) we would be forced to throw them away, as a result we need to be careful and keenly obey God. God made a covenant with him, promising that Abraham would be “the father of many nations” (Genesis 17:4 ). In fact, God changed Abram’s name to Abraham, as promised which means “father of a multitude.” You shall only be great and receive the promises of God only when we patiently wait on him.

God is true, he is ever faithful to his sayings. But there is a major hindrance to the manifestation of the word of God in the lives of some people. It is not that God forgets his promises or refuses to fulfill them. But it is mainly due to the fact that sometimes, we refuse to come into a position that will could properly receive from God, we could not come into a place where we can accept the terms and conditions attached to some promises.

...comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1Cor.2:13-14

The proper place to receiving from God is through the Spirit. It was said about God that he is a Spirit. And also, everything about him is a spirit. The simplest promise you see in the bible is a spirit. We might see them as just mere confessions and very simple, but those words are purely spirits. And that’s why we were told the letter killeth but the spirit giveth life, and Jesus also said his words are spirit and they are life.

So for you not to hinder yourself of the blessings and answers to your prayers. You necessarily need to be in the spirit too. The word of the Lord confirmed that to be in the Spirit is possible and it is also decision based. The word encourage us to always be in spirit, and to also be aglow (prayerful) in the spirit. You must of a necessity be spiritually conscious. The spirit is already inside of us, but most times, we abandon it unto dormancy and we go on with our carnality. Be aglow in the spirit, and you will be able to discern the voice of the Lord. And you will also be able to understand spiritual things in the word of God and this will however aid the manifestation of the promises of God unto us. Delay yourself no more and set yourself aglow in the spirit. Being in the spirit requires heartfelt prayers, deep worships and sometimes fasting.

“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”Psalms‬ ‭30:5‬ ‭KJV.‬‬

After going through the rigour of a busy day, one retires at night to rest and or sleep. It is at this time that a person sometimes thinks about all that he or she went through during the day. No matter how it turns out we need the mercy of God in it all and to encourage ourselves in the Lord like David did.

Here are some quick lessons
1. The night of darkness represents weeping. Perhaps, as you are reading this message, the enemy has been making you to cry, l pray for you that your period of sorrow is over in the mighty name of Jesus.(Genesis 1:3).

2. The morning represents joy. I pray for you, that if the enemy has stolen your joy, it shall be restored to you today in the name of Jesus.(Joel 2:25-26)

3. Your trial is short lived:God Himself has not ordained that any night should endure forever. Whatever your situation might be today, that will not go on forever. It will not be long, it shall come to pass.(Isaiah 3:10)

4. After every night, comes a glorious morning. I pray that your morning of joy will come speedily  in the name of Jesus.(John 16:24)

5. The enemy does not have the last say on your life. In fact, nobody has the last say on your life. No condition is permanent. God is your helper and will make haste to help you.(Isaiah 41:10).

1.Banish discouragement ,It is a destroyer:It sees the obstacle but faith sees the way out. When you are discouraged, you are telling God that He cannot help you.God had to encourage Joshua.(Joshua 1:6)

2.Build your Confidence and hope on the Lord alone ,David did(Psalm 118:8-9,1 Samuel 30:6)

3.Praise Him in the deepest part of your struggle,Job did(Job 19:25).

4.Hold unto your faith in the Lord as you pray, your reward is ready(Hebrews 11:6,Jude 20).

Accept Jesus today, through him alone did all the promise of God finds their Yes and Amen. It is he who baptizes us with the Holy Ghost that facilitates our understanding of spiritual things. Jesus loves you. Stay blessed!

1.My Father,I thank You for Your great love for me,be Thou gloried in Jesus name.

2.Father ,our lives as Your children are in Your hands, please let our joy be full in Jesus name.

3.Father,please make me a child of consolation and encouragement to others on this Pilgrims’ way in Jesus name amen.

4.Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit, my teacher and my guide. By reason of His indwelling, I’m guided, protected, and inspired to make wise choices, and the right decisions. He counsels me from within, thus I walk in the precision and accuracy of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name.

5.Pray for the leadings of the Holy Ghost at all times
