VOLUME 3 ISSUE NO 201809003

You can't talk defeat and expect to have victory! You can't talk lack and expect to have abundance! You will produce what you say, with your words you can either bless your future or you can curse your future! Our words have creative power, whenever we speak something out, either good or bad, we are giving life to what we been saying! That is why the scriptures says that  (Prov 18:21) "Life and death are in the power of a tongue."

Do you know the more you talk about something, the more you draw it in? Don’t talk about the problem, talk about the solution! The scriptures says, "... Let the weak say, 'I am strong (Joel 3:10)." Notice it didn't say, Let the weak talk about their weaknesses! No! It says, "Let the weak say exactly the opposite of how they feel! In other words don't talk about the way you are, talk about the way you want to be! Say,  I am strong in the Lord!

Then you won't go out weak and defeated, you will go out with a victor mentality! So what are you saying about your future? Make sure the words you are sending out are in the direction you want your life to go! That is why you should never say, I am not good enough! Too many people say negative things about themselves and about their future! They don't realise they are prophesying their future!

The scriptures says, "We will eat the fruit of our words." That means you will get exactly what you been saying! So don’t use your words to describe a situation, use your words to change a situation! Declare healthy, favour, abundance etc! You give life to your faith by what you say: you can say, I have the favour of God, I can do all things through Christ, I am blessed, I am strong! When you do that, you just blessed your life!

You just spoke favour into your future! You should always sends your words in the direction you want your life to go! Believe what you say about yourself more than what anybody else says about you! Thats why on a regular basis you should say, Iam blessed, I am valuable, I have a bright future, unexpected blessings are coming my way! I will give birth to every promise of God! I will become everything God created me to be! Explosive blessings are coming my way! God has moments of favour in my future! His blessings will chase me down and overtake me!

The world system in this context refers to many things ranging from secular beliefs, pattern of living, religious beliefs, cultural diversification, wealth and fashions which revolve around our everyday life. Many may not see anything disturbing about these, but we must understand the fact that the deceiver has not relented in his effort towards separating us from love of the Father. The devil through his agents has subtly introduced into the world and among believers things that have significantly affected our preparedness for the second coming of our Lord Jesus.
These things have become formidable tool in the hands of the enemy targeted towards depopulating the kingdom of God. The fashion and the media world is rapidly destroying the fabrics of moral integrity, consistently influencing the dressing and the moral inclination of the believers of our time to the extent that they have been deluded into believing that God is not concerned about the vessel but the content of the vessel. We must remember that the Bible in 1 Corinthians 6:20 says that we are bought with a price; therfore we must always glorify God in our bodies. We must be alert to the subtlety of the deceiver in other to see that he is out to enslave the people of God and to deny them the rare and a one time opportunity the death of our Lord Jesus has offered us.
We as Christians must not conform to the world to survive in the world; we must not live by the dictates of the world system nor by the religious doctrines that suit our desires (2 Timothy 4:3), but by the direction of the spirit through the sound doctrines rooted in Christ.
We must beware lest any man spoil us through philosophy and vain deceit ,after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ- Colossians 2:8.

”When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you” (Isaiah 43:2 NLT).

God wants you to be a giving person. That means you sow generosity in your life. You give freely to others in the body of Christ and show God’s love to unbelievers. You look for ways to be generous with the resources that God has generously given you.

But sometimes when we focus on giving financially to your church or to others, Satan will try to plant all kinds of seeds of doubt and fear in our minds: “What if you lose your job? What if you get sick? What if you’re incapacitated? What if the economy tanks? How are you going to be able to keep your commitment?”

You may be facing some of those same anxieties. When you do face those doubts, you need to remember that God has promised to never abandon you and to always be with you. You don’t have to know what the future holds, because you know who holds the future.

No matter what you face in the future, you’re never going to face it alone. Isaiah 43:2 says, “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you” (NLT).

This is the key to courage. There is nothing to fear when you know God is near. On your own you might drown, but God has said that he will never leave you or abandon you (go read Hebrews 13:5).

Maybe you feel alone right now. You may feel that way, but it isn’t true. God sees what you’re going through. God cares about what you’re going through. And God will help you out if you trust him.

Your fears and doubts are not from God. When it comes to your giving, you can trust that as God leads you to give, he will stand by you and provide for your needs. The only way to reap generosity is to sow generosity

So many around the world today didn’t seem to have any problem with their health until they went for a check-up. The doctor said they had diabetes, and immediately, that information changed their lives; their sufferings began. They were in good health, until they got the doctor’s report. But you see, the medical data tells the fact, but God tells the truth.

God’s truth about your health is, “If Christ be in you, though your body may be ravaged by sickness or disease, the Holy Spirit, who perambulates your body, inundates it with divine life, ridding you of every infirmity.” Understand who you are: you’re born of God; you’re a new creation in Christ! The life in you is the very life of God; it’s not the kind that gets sick; it’s called “the imperishable life”; it’s incorruptible.

Even if you were born with a blood or heart condition, it’s all passed away, because the Bible says, “…if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God…” (2 Corinthians 5:17-18). The old life or nature that could be sick has been supplanted by the life of God. Moreover, the Bible says, “...Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses” (Matthew 8:17); Jesus did! He already took all sicknesses and infirmities away from you; therefore, enjoy divine health.

Don’t say you have diabetes; you can’t have it, because it’s not from God. As a new creation, everything in you, everything about your life, is new, and from God; we read it in 2 Corinthians 5:17-18. James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights….” Then we read in our theme scripture, “...A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.” Sickness, disease, failure, lack, and weakness are not from God; they don’t come from heaven; so, don’t accept them.

The things that are from God are pure, perfect, and are of divine wisdom. If it hurts, binds or has darkness in it, it’s not from God; reject it in the Name of Jesus. Accept and endorse in your life only that which is consistent with the provisions of the Gospel and perfect will of God for you.

John 3:27; John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

Philemon 1:6; That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:8; Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

The memory is a beautiful and intricate part of the human being. The memory is not our enemy; it was actually created by God for a specific purpose. Our memory was created to house the kindness, goodness and grandeur of our great God, but after the fall of man the memory became somewhat corrupted, and, as a result, we don't have to try very hard to remember the bad things that have happened to us.

The memory is a canvas where life pictures are displayed; it is supposed to be a canvas of rich colors that radiate life, fullness, peace, wholeness, joy, hope and creativity. Unfortunately, the canvas has been smeared by the enemy with pictures of darkness, ugliness and constant loads of heaviness. "How am I supposed to forget these images engraved in my memory, when what happened to me was real and it caused me real pain?" The truth is, God does not expect you to forget your past; in fact, he asked us to remember our past but not in the way we do presently. God instituted specific days for certain feasts to be celebrated by the Jewish people, in order for them to never forget the goodness of him in their lives.

After the children of Israel left Egypt, God instructed them to observe the Sabbath. This was not just for ritual sake; this would bring to their memory the fact that the God of the universe saved their lives from major destruction by bringing them out of slavery, where they had to work continuously, into freedom - that now they did not have to be subjected to the harsh hand of the slave master and for us Christians we remember Calvary's cross for the purpose of grasping the depth of revelation embedded in the divine exchange that took place two thousand years ago. Where we are today is a result of the situations and circumstances of the past. Where we are going tomorrow will be determined by what we chose to take from the past.
And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great (Genesis 26:13).

Galatians 3:29 says, “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” God had said to Abraham, “And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice” (Genesis 22:18). This is also your heritage, because you’re the seed of Abraham; you’ve been set apart for greatness; you’re a blessing to your world.

God chose all of us His kids to be great and desires to use each one of us mightily in our own unique ways to fulfil His purpose in the earth. Everyone that’s born of God has in him or her, the seed of greatness; we were born great. Never suppose that your greatness in life is dependent upon your works, for the Bible says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Get to know who you are in Christ, and walk in that identity.

Observe again, God’s idea: He said to Abraham, “…I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing” (Genesis 12:2). It wasn’t Abraham who pleaded that God should make him great. Rather, it was God’s choice; your greatness is God’s choice.

This means that whether or not you intended it, greatness is God’s dream for you since you’re the seed of Abraham. You don’t need to struggle to be great; greatness abides in you now! Live every day with the mentality of greatness and excellence. Let it reflect in the way you think, talk, walk, and live.

Everybody in this world is running towards one single thing. And that is what we want. We all run towards what we want. But the question most people are yet to answer or ponder upon is why do they really want what they wanted so bad. Because some people wants money, some people wants sex, some people wants position, some people wants honor. All of us are not mad, yet we desire different things under the reflection of one single thing (what we want). The sole reason we desire that which we want is because we all think that what we want will give us peace.

Peace however is the greatest thing a man can ever have on the face of the earth. Without Peace, other things can never never be worthwhile or enjoyed. But this peace is just like a Federal system of Government. The federal directs all the affairs of the states under it. Peace entails a lot of things, first the Federal and then the States. The federal is God, and the States are other things in which if God directs will build up peace in our lives.

Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen Romans 15:33

Peace is not gotten from materialism. As a matter of fact, peace is that which builds materialism to aid and support itself. But until we find God, we can never find peace. Of course you can have all the materials, but do you have all the Joy, the Health, The security, The justice, The Assurance and the likes? Without the Capital City in a federal state, all the activities of the states will not improve and the nation will never be built that way. But if we Permit the federal (God) to walk in other states (areas of our lives), then we can be sure that he will erect our lives with the beauty and structure of peace.

When you meet God, all you wanted will bring you peace and not more thirst and pressure. Fight for your life, and meet with Jesus today.

Peace is what you need brethren, and without God it can never be gotten. If you have God already, why don’t you utilize the power of communication in prayer unto God to demand for the disbursement of allocation from the federal (God) to the states (other areas) of your life, so that your peace will be furnished and garnished. When God is the director of your life, peace is assured.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. —1 Thessalonians 5:21-22

The standard by which we are to accept or reject every idea, emotion, or opportunity is whether it is "good" or "evil." No middle ground is mentioned.

How do we know what is good and what is bad, what is right and what is wrong? The only infallible benchmark we have is God's Word, the Bible. We cannot make decisions based upon our feelings at the moment, the advice or rationale of others, or society's changing ideas of what is acceptable.

Nor are we to make decisions only after "trying out" all our options. We are not told to "experiment with everything" but to prove (test) all things. Experience, emphatically, is not the best teacher. Instruction is. And in the Bible we find the instruction we need regarding how we are to live, what priorities we are to hold, and how we are to view the world around us.

Once we have applied God's Word to any particular issue in our lives, we are then told to wholeheartedly pursue the indicated course of action. If a thing is good, we are to "hold fast" to it, not substituting or selling it for anything. If it is evil, we are to "abstain" from it, not sampling or teasing with it in small doses.

Do you have a decision to make? Test it by the touchstone of God's Word, and then cling to the good and right path, abstaining from even the appearance or possibility of evil.

Through Jesus alone can we ever know God. Accept Jesus today if you have not, Jesus loves you.

For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. —2 Thessalonians 3:10

The Lord has appointed believers to be His ambassadors to a lost and hurting world. As His followers, we are to represent Him in our character, conduct, and conversation whenever we interact with family, friends, neighbours, or co-workers.

God expects us to be diligent in our work and faithful to complete it. However, in our self-absorbed, pleasure-seeking culture, it is very easy to get sidetracked into laziness. This sin is dangerous in a Christian's life because of the potential harm that can result—it can hurt our witness for Christ, damage our relationships with others, and waste both the time and the gifts the Lord has given us. One negative result of such a lifestyle is a character marked as unreliable and untrustworthy.

Laziness frequently shows up as procrastination. For example, despite saying that we will take action, we repeatedly delay the start time. Or we may begin a project and yet find reasons not to finish it. Being neglectful is another manifestation: though we make an attempt to carry out responsibilities, they are handled in a haphazard or incomplete way; relationships with loved ones go untended; or the needs of others are overlooked.

Irresponsible behaviour doesn't fit who we are in Christ. If you realize you've been careless in some area of your life, pray, "Lord, I have not lived as I should, and I ask You to forgive me. I choose to turn away from lazy attitudes and neglectful behaviour. Please help me to follow through and become someone who is industrious for You."

1 Timothy 4:15-16; Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

The mind of God and the will of God has been revealed to us in His Word. The roadmap, route and strategy to achieve and profit has been laid out in the Word of God. What we need to do, like our passage says this morning is to 'meditate' and 'continue' on the road the Word has provided. What are the strategies to achieve:

1. Grace: As a child of God, the grace of God in your life is an advantage, so you cannot fail. The more of His grace you receive everyday, the more you are propelled to achieve.

2. Vision: You must be committed to pursuing your visions and goals. There is power in focus. You can't be a jack of all trade and make it. Discover the one thing you're cut out for and pursue it radically.

3. Diligence: The bible says seeth thou a man diligent in His business, He shall stand before kings and not before mean men.

4. Association: Move with people of like minds who will propel you to succeed. Your association determines your elevation.

5. Prayer: The bible says we should not be ignorant of the devices of the enemy. The Devil hates to see a child of God achieve or succeed. But when you're on fire spiritually, there is no stopping you. No weapon fashioned or formed against you shall prosper.

I come against the spirit of confusion and drawback in your life this week in Jesus name. You will move forward. You will not be set back.
