MEMORISE: He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalms 91:1)

In those days, kings and their palaces were so revered that not every dick and harry went there, especially without purpose. A palace was even more revered to the extent that if a man who is being pursued runs in, he shall be safe, irrespective of the offence committed. The pursuer would have to turn back or face the music. During the days of Joshua, there were certain of such cities separated and named cities of refuge *(Joshua 20:1-9)*. If any offender ran for safety to any of them, he was automatically freed from the avenger of blood who wanted his life.

The Devil is like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour *(1 Peter 5:8)*, seeking his prey with utmost vexation. Except those who find their ways to the City of refuge, no one may escape from him. Why? All have sinned and are therefore billed to die *(Romans 3:23; 6:23)*. We all have been given the grace to run into the arms of Jesus as He calls every sinner, oppressed and afflicted to take refuge at His pavilion *(Psalms 91:1; Matthew 11:28)*.

Only in the kingdom of God are salvation, healing, deliverance blessings and hope of eternity. But it is a pity today, that some who are already secured in this Holy city are straying out, of their own volition, and are facing the danger of being wasted by the devil *(cf. Numbers 35:26,27)*.

A lot of people are also refusing His plea to come unto Him. It doesn't matter the degree of your sinfulness, He is ably ready to save you from the avenger of blood. His offer is free for all classes of people. All you need is personally acknowledging Him as your Lord and Saviour. His arms are still widely open to receive you to His Father. Don't let this opportunity pass you by.

1. Lord, I refuse to remove my life and family from under the umbrella of Your protection, in Jesus' name.
2. Hear oh Satan: I run into the Rock of Ages, the Strong Tower, with everybody/everything belonging to me; you can do nothing to us, in Jesus' name.
3. Father, bring all backsliders and sinners back to You, and help them never to wander away from Your will.
