MEMORISE: Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. (Proverbs 11:14) Are you a leader, parent or master? Your contributions to the lives of your followers, children, servants, etc. definitely influence them and those around them, just like Moses' mother's impact on him helped him to diligently lead Israel out of captivity, in the face of stiff oppositions (Exo. 2:8-9). The fact is that, all of us, have our different circles of influence. Even the worst of men have people dying for them, regardless of what you think about them. After Thomas Edison was considered unteachable by his school teacher, his mother took up his teaching. The dullard later discovered the electric bulb. Poor Daniel Webster gave up on himself for being the dullest in his class, and left school. But, he was encouraged by a neighbour who charged him to go back to class and prove his worth. He did not only later come first in class. He has the Webster Dictionary to his credit. The effort and the role of Ben Carson's mother on him was indeed a great instrument in building his enviable life. She stressed the importance of education and ensured that the young Ben Carson became great, despite that he was apparently the dumpest kid in his class. Her effort on him produced a renowned professor of Neurosurgery, Oncology and Paediatrics, who is a blessing to his generation.
In Acts 21:8-9, Philip the evangelist's effort on his four daughters produced sound spiritual lives. They prophesied as young ladies (virgins). The role played by Eunice and Lois on the young Timothy positively imparted his world.
Those under you will most likely follow the path of what you deposit in them, whether covertly or overtly, in principle and practice - positive or negative. Let your role reward the world.

1. Lord, please make me a role model to my generation.
2. Father, help me not to mislead as many as you have put under my tutelage, in Jesus' name.
3. Lord, empower our political and spiritual leaders to play their roles effectively in fulfilling their God-sent missions.

MEMORISE:The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day (Genesis 18:1)

Abraham's home, like the home in Bethany, was a place where the LORD found refreshment. He desires fellowship with us, for He has said: Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me (Revelation 3:20). Furthermore, those sweet manifestations of His presence can also be ours, for He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him (John 14:21).

How many opportunities have we not missed when the Lord has appeared to us, but the heat of the day, with its many distractions so occupied us, that we were unaware of His presence? And so, He reluctantly passed by. He had to pass by Lot, for Lot was too busy in the gate of Sodom. Two angels appeared to him, but only to announce judgement.Abraham's joy in seeing and recognising the LORD could not be suppressed. In John 20, the disciples too were glad when they saw the Lord. Do we feel the same way, for example, on the Lord's day? Abraham had the privilege of serving the LORD without an unholy delay, because he had things ready at hand. Worship is presenting to the Father that which speaks of Christ, and which we have gathered up during the week. It comes from daily communion with the Lord. It is thinkable, when we gather to remember Him, and so many lips are silent. Why? Not even fine words of thanks? The failure is on our side. We have not been walking in daily communion with Him, by spending time in prayer, and in the Word. Are we not robbing Him of the honour that He is so worthy of? Let us rectify this without delay.

1.Lord, open my eyes and enlighten my heart to know when I am wrongly positioned.
2.Help me, Lord, to love and abide in Your approved location.
3.Help members of our churches, Lord, to more deeply understand the true meaning and importance of worship.
