Salvation Day by Day:
Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 1 Corinthians 10:12. Peter's fall was not instantaneous, but gradual. Self-confidence led him to the belief that he was saved, and step after step was taken in the downward path, until he could deny his Master. Never can we safely put confidence in self or feel, this side of heaven, that we are secure against temptation. Those who accept the Saviour, however sincere their conversion, should never be taught to say or to feel that they are saved. This is misleading. Every one should be taught to cherish hope and faith; but even when we give ourselves to Christ and know that He accepts us, we are not beyond the reach of temptation. . . . Only he who endures the trial will receive the crown of life (James 1:1)Those who accept Christ, and in their first confidence say, I am saved, are in danger of trusting to themselves. . . . We are admonished, "Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall" (1 Corinthians 10:12). Our only safety is in constant distrust of self, and dependence on Christ. There are many who profess Christ, but who never become mature Christians. They admit that man is fallen, that his faculties are weakened, that he is unfitted for moral achievement, but they say that Christ has borne all the burden, all the suffering, all the self-denial, and they are willing to let Him bear it. They say that there is nothing for them to do but to believe; but Christ said, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me" (Matthew 16:24). We are never to rest in a satisfied condition, and cease to make advancement, saying, "I am saved." When this idea is entertained, the motives for watchfulness, for prayer, for earnest endeavor to press onward to higher attainments, cease to exist. No sanctified tongue will be found uttering these words till Christ shall come, and we enter in through the gates into the city of God. Then, with the utmost propriety, we may give glory to God and to the Lamb for eternal deliverance.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (Romans 8:37).In Christ, you’re ordained to prosper, succeed, and triumph all the time. We’re supremely and transcendentally blessed in Christ. We win all the time, irrespective of the circumstances and situations we’re in. Some people believe that an ever-winning, ever-triumphant life in Christ is unrealistic; so they live with the notion that “Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.” That’s not for the child of God. God’s blessing for every one of us, irrespective of the challenges, is that you’re more than a conqueror. It reminds of that old song in which the writer said, “God never said there’ll be no rain; He never said there’ll be no sunshine, but He always promised us a heart full of singing.” In other words, no matter what happens, you’re forever victorious.Read the Spirit’s submission through Paul about this; it’s so inspiring. He says, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Romans 8:35-37).We’re not in the dark. We’re not at the mercy of Satan or the hardship in today’s world. In the midst of the darkness, turmoil, the adversities of life, your victory is a settled fact. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” This is a present-hour reality. You’re not hamstrung; you’re not in the battle all by yourself. The Lord Himself said, “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee” (Isaiah 43:2). Blessed be God! Be confident and assured of victory and a glorious life every day, because Christ is in you (Colossians 1:27). That’s your assurance of winning every day Halleluja .Dear heavey Father, I thank you for the life I have in Christ - a life of victory, progress, and success every day. I prosper and excel in all things as I meditate on the Word, and act on it . I win always, because Christ has been made unto me wisdom, and that wisdom which is my unparalleled advantage, is at work in me mightily,  in Jesus Name. Romans  8:31 ,What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?1 John  4:4,  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.1 John  5:4, For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.GOD BLESS YOU!

A young lady sat in  public transport: an elderly grumpy lady came and sat by her as she bumped into her with her numerous bags, the other neighbor got upset, asking the young lady why she did not protest and insist on her rights: she responded with a smile: " It is not necessary to be rude or argue over something so insignificant! "I ll alight at the next stop, our journey together is so short, replied the young Lady "Here's a response which deserves to be written in Golden letters in our daily behaviours and everywhere: It is not necessary to argue over something so insignificant, our journey together is so short !This keeps touching my heart and sets me thinking. If everyone would realize that our passage down here has such a short duration and; to darken it with quarrels, futile arguments, unforgiveness, ungratefulness and bad attitudes would be a waste of time and energy. Did someone break ur heart? Be calm, the journey is so short !! Did someone betray, bully, cheat or humiliate you? Be calm, forgive, the journey is so short !!  Whatever penalty anyone serves us, let's remember that the journey TOGETHER is so short.Let us therefore be filled with Gratitude and Sweetness. Sweetness is a virtue never likened to bad character nor cowardice, but better likened to greatness! Our journey together down here is really short and cannot be reversed. No one knows the duration of his/her journey !!Even Methuselah, the longest lived man got to his bus stop and alighted from d bus.Two years ago, a well known Minister of God, Dr Myles Munroe and his wife Ruth Munroe, together with Pastor Richard Pinder, Pastors Lavard and Rudel Parks and their two children took off from Bahamas going for a crusade; none of them got to the crusade ground. They all got to their last bus stops and all alighted with a plane crash! As we wake up to see each daylight, millions of people: young, old, mid-age somehow get to their respective bus stops and must alight. We all pray to live long. And I pray for you reading this post; that you shall live Long and fulfill God's purpose for you on earth in Jesus name, But REMEMBER, the journey is so short. No one knows when they will get to their last bus stop where they will have to alight !!Meditate on this my brethren. The journey is so short, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, or 150 years all start with one day. We surely know how many years we have spent, but do u know how many more you have to spend? 1, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 99 yr(s), months, weeks or days, hours, minutes or seconds. The journey is so short. Therefore, cherish and hold on to Friends, Family and the People around you! Be calm, be respectful, be kind, n be thankful.Love God; hold no offence.!! Be Forgiving !! The journey is so short! No matter what anyone has done to hurt you, always remember that: " it is so insignificant." Be quick to forgive.Hold no grudge; the journey is so short. Never forget that however long we pray to live ;The journey down here is so so short !! Everyone will account one day therefore make each day count.

SAUL PROCLAIMS JESUS IN DAMASCUS: Yet Saul grew... more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ. Acts 9:22 .The testimony of a witness is often needed to clear any doubt in a court case. Apostle Paul became a strong witness for Christ, and this confounded the Jews. They could not fathom the sudden change that can make someone as terrible as Paul become a preacher for Christ, whom he once opposed. It is ironic that in the same Damascus where Paul went to arrest Jesus' disciples was where he was preaching Christ. For this, his life was endangered, as those who once knew him as a persecutor sought to kill him. But Paul slipped away from their reach, and continued to preach Christ. All believers have been given the mandate to witness Christ to unbelievers. Everywhere we find ourselves is a mission field where others must be reached with the gospel. How seriously are you taking this assignment? When was the last time you talked to someone about Jesus? You are a witness for Christ; if, like a witness in court, you refuse to say what your eyes have seen, you put others at the risk of being condemned. Rise up to your duty today. Tell unbelievers about Jesus Christ, and pray that they will come into His everlasting life. Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. 3 John 2.
