FILLED WITH ALL HIS FULLNESS: And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be FILLED WITH ALL THE FULNESS OF GOD (Ephesians 3:19).Real and authentic Christianity is being filled with the fullness of God. Apart from His extraordinary birth, what made Jesus different from every other prophet that came before Him was the Holy Spirit in Him; that made Him the Christ. Some people say that “Christ” merely means the anointed one. Well, there’s a different sense to this. We know the prophets of old were also anointed: Joshua, Moses, David, Elisha, Samuel, Aaron, and several other prophets in the Old Testament. Howbeit, they had the Spirit in a measure. What made the difference for Jesus is that He had the Spirit without measure; He had the fullness of the Spirit. John 3:34 says,“For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.” The prophets were all given the Spirit by measure. For instance, the Bible tells us about Joshua: _*“And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him…” (Deuteronomy 34:9). Moses did that because God asked him to lay his hands on Joshua. However, in the case of Jesus, He was filled with God. He didn’t just have the Spirit of wisdom, He was wisdom personified. The man, Christ Jesus, was filled with the fullness of God, letting us know that we can also be filled with the fullness of God, for as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). The Bible says, “For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently”*_ (Colossians 1:19 AMPC). Colossians 2:10 says, “And ye are complete in him….” You’re complete in the One in whom the sum total of the divine perfection, powers and attributes permanently dwells. What a blessed reality! It means Christ has found a resting place in you. Everything you require in life is within you. You carry the maximum load of God! Therefore, face life with the consciousness of a victor. You can do anything. Dear Father, I thank you, for I have received the Spirit without measure, because as Jesus is, so am I in this world. I’m filled with the fullness of God; therefore, nothing is impossible to me. I face life with the consciousness of a victor. I can do anything, because my sufficiency is of God. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and powe. And certain women ... which ministered unto him of their substance. I want to share with you about ministering to the man of God with your substance. You must be able to minister to the man of God out of your own substance. If money is a problem to you then you cannot be a minister. The Bible teaches that people who have been taught should share their good things with those who teach them: Galatians 6:6.The man of God will minister spiritual things to you and you will minister back to him in physical things. The anointing is provoked when you minister to the man of God. Anytime I have had the opportunity to be near those who have been a blessing to me, I have ministered to them out of my substance. When the woman with the alabaster box of ointment ministered to Christ, He said that she would be remembered. When you pour an "alabaster box" on a man of God you will provoke a blessing and be remembered. Your ministry will have a longer life span as you decide to honour those before you. Your ministry will be remembered by many. You will provoke the favour and anointing of God over your life. Notice what great men like Abraham did when they met with greater men of God. They immediately ministered to the man of God out of their substance: “…And he [Abraham] gave him tithes of all” (Genesis 14:18-20).
WHY AM I HERE? : The word of the Lord came to me, saying, Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. This is a personal question everyone should sincerely, regularly and continuously ask, if truly one wants to fulfil one's destiny. Here, in the context of our topic today, means where you are presently. It could be the world you are living in or the position you are presently occupying. Your here could be your marriage (family) or office (workplace). Can you, in the face of opposition and persecution, like Joseph, happily say, God sent me HERE (Egypt) to preserve lives, and save Egypt, when serving a jail term of the sin he never committed. As a child of God, purchased by His blood, you are sent to where you are today, for a specific purpose. Have you discovered the reason? To represent Him. Paul knew he was specifically sent to the gentiles, and achieved this through hard work, commitment and focus on the Sender, for success. Nehemiah also realised and passionately fulfilled God's purpose and the reason why the king approved of his journey to Jerusalem.Jeremiah says, _"Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations"_ *(Jeremiah 1:4-5)*. He allowed nothing to distract him from fulfilling the plan and purpose of God for his life. Brethren, you have got no excuse for not doing what He created and sent you to do HERE and NOW. Cooperate with His Spirit, and you would accomplish all He has ordained. DEVIATE NOT FROM GODS VOICE: I have hidden your Word in my heart that I might not sin against you_ (Psalms 119:11)To deviate is to wander from the way or from an established rule. A lot of Christians today have wandered from the Way. God has given instructions for our living, in His Word (the Scriptures). He has also given His ministers to give the Word meaning to people. However, it is sad that it has hitherto been very difficult for majority to heed His instructions, and this has caused a lot of setbacks, regrets, agony and disasters to people, children of God, inclusive. Right from the Garden of Eden, our forebears experienced rejection, sorrow, pain and regret, because they deviated from the instructions of God. We are paying dearly for it, till today. The man of God from Judah was given specific instructions: You shall not eat bread, nor drink water, nor return by the same way you came *(1 Kings. 13:9-10)*. But, he deviated from the voice of God. The end of it was disastrous. Flash back on the instructions that you have received from God in the past. If you have deviated, ask for mercy *(James 2:13)* and come back to God, the Repairer and Restorer of the broken and shattered life, but wait patiently on Him while He does the restoration (Joel 2:25)Remember: God is not to be blamed whenever a child of God deviates from His instructions, and faces the consequences.
